My dad has always wanted to set up a blog for his passion, which is tennis. I searched for a simple setup involving Blogger / Blogspot and the iPhone and am glad to have found BlogPress Lite.

BlogPress Lite allows an iPhone user to easily post and manage multiple blogs which are set up on Blogger.com. You just need to have a Picasa account linked as well to allow posting of photos.

Have you ever been boggled by extremely long web links? Or have a friend complain that the link you sent does not work because it got mangled by the email program for being too long?

This app is for you. Squeezer takes a long URL (website link) and shrinks it and even allows you to conveniently post it to various places like Facebook and Twitter.

Squeezer is an essential tool for me when it comes to publishing AppTreats and I believe you will come to love it too!

There are many free apps that allow a person to use their finger(s) to draw on their devices. The latest offering from the well-known brand Autodesk is an impressive addition to the family.

Autodesk Sketchbook MobileX is the free version that boasts professional features and felt very responsive to my touch. A single tap brings up a feature wheel that allows switching of drawing tools.

While composing an email today, I realized that I needed to check the spelling of a particular word.

Enter the app Dictionary.com. While it may look like an online tool, Dictionary.com actually works offline. The installation is about 36MB.

Dictionary.com comes with a thesaurus too. This is really handy for songwriting and essay compositions.

Hi AppTreaters!

This is a flash announcement for some great freebies for your iPhone and iPod Touch. All of Houdah Software for the iPhone is going FREE right now until Sept 6. You can read about them at:

Two of my favourites are ACTPrinter and ACTCurrency. ACTPrinter allows you to “print” any document from your Mac to your iPhone or iPod Touch and ACTCurrency converts currencies from a list of 190+ countries with automatically downloaded rates.

One reason why I love my iPhone is the way it makes it easy for me to do things that would normally be tedious. An example of this would be this very blog!

I write and maintain this blog completely from my iPhone, and today’s treat and trick showcases an app that is crucial to the blogging workflow (for me).

With the new iPhone OS, we now have cut-copy-paste, but what happens when you have snippets that you frequently use and would like to save ‘cuts’ to a permanent clipboard?

Enter ClipShare. This app does just that, allowing you to save multiple cuts to a clipboard for you to use whenever needed. I use it to paste special web codes into my blog posts.

There are many such apps in the App Store, but after testing all the ones that you can download for free, I have found ClipShareLite to be my favorite and all that I need.
